Nigel Murphy is a Director and Principal Environmental Scientist at Earth Systems and Earth Systems Lao. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons., Earth Sciences) and a Master of Environmental Science from Monash University. Mr. Murphy is a Certified Environmental Practitioner, Chair of the CEnvP Board and also a member of, and National Councillor for, the Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand. Nigel is actively involved with Environment Business Australia serving as a National Director from 2003-2004 and the Australian Water Association.

With more than 20 years of experience as an environmental and earth scientist, he has developed a strong background in environmental practice having worked in many interdisciplinary environmental assessments and environmental management assignments for private sector, government, aid and development projects within Australia and abroad. He specialises in environmental project management and multidisciplinary environmental assessments.
