CEnvP Profile - Tony Hill
Tony Hill graduated in Chemistry in 1992 having also studied elective disciplines of material science, soil science and geology. The early years of his career at Mackie Martin & Associates evolved from focussing on groundwater exploration and supply, to the characterisation and remediation of land, surface water and groundwater pollution.
Along with fulfilling senior management roles in national and global environmental consultancies, Tony has implemented and directed a range of medium to large scale land and groundwater assessment and remediation projects throughout Australia and Papua New Guinea.
Tony is now a Director and Principal Scientist at Senversa Pty Ltd, an employee owned professional technical services company focusing on the assessment, management, auditing and clean-up of land and groundwater pollution.
Tony was appointed by EPA Victoria as an Environmental Auditor - Contaminated Land (appointed pursuant to the Environment Protection Act 1970) in 2009, and spends a proportion of his time undertaking contaminated and groundwater environmental audits in accordance with local, national and international best practice guidance, standards and regulations.
Tony became a Certified Environmental Practitioner in 2006 as a strong advocate for the integrity and ethical conduct of practitioners in his field. He believes industry support of the CEnvP program will return the value of added confidence in the quality of advice environmental practitioners provide, as they negotiate the inherent variability and challenges our built and natural environments present.
