The CEnvP logo and the personalised seal serve distinct purposes. It’s crucial to understand the difference between the two to ensure proper use and maintain the integrity of the CEnvP trademark.

The CEnvP Logo

What It Is and How It Can Be Used

The CEnvP logo is a registered trademark and is protected by copyright laws. It represents the Certified Environmental Practitioner Scheme as a whole. This logo, along with the initials “CEnvP” and the words “Certified Environmental Practitioner,” identifies the CEnvP program itself—not individual practitioners.

Because the logo represents the organisation, it should only be used for educational and promotional purposes related to the CEnvP Scheme. You should not use the generic CEnvP logo to imply that you, as an individual, are certified.

Further, CEnvP Specialist certifications generic logos are also protected by copyright laws.

Careful usage of the trademarked logos and designations is important to maintaining its value, recognition, and visual impact.

Your Personalised Seal: A Mark of Your Individual Certification

Your personalised seal is the specific mark of your certification. It’s a distinct and valuable tool for you as a certified practitioner. You’ll receive a new one annually on July 1st, after your renewal fees have been paid.

Each personalised seal is a custom-made tool that includes:

  • The relevant CEnvP certification logo
  • Your unique registration number
  • The validity period (e.g., FY2025–26)

Purpose and Usage Guidelines

Your personalised seal is a visual indicator of your professional status as a Certified Environmental Practitioner. You can use it on documents, reports, business cards, personalized stationery, and email signatures.

To maintain the integrity of your seal, you must adhere to these guidelines:

  • Do not alter or distort the seal in any way. You must use the master file provided.
  • The seal is for you alone. It cannot be used by anyone else.
  • Do not use the seal to suggest organisational certification. Remember, CEnvP certifies individuals, not companies, firms, or partnerships.
  • Only current seals may be displayed. Expired seals must not be used on any client or regulatory documentation. The validity period on your seal is firm; do not use it past the end date.
  • The minimum size of the seal should not be less than 12mm in diameter.
  • The colors of the seal must not be modified, with the exception of using the logo in black and white.

What to Do if You Have Questions

Please note that the CEnvP Certification Board has the sole discretion to interpret these rules and reserves the right to withhold or withdraw permission to use the seal if it is considered to be abused or misused.

If you have any questions about the proper use of your personalised seal, please contact the CEnvP Program Office.
